Frozen Smiles – The Brand New Ice Cream Parlour in Kandy

Ice Cream is one of favourite thing in hot Countries like Sri Lanka. Kandy isn’t too much hot until ugly commercial buildings pop up to block the natural wind flow from Kandy Lake. Unfortunately, unplanned buildings like Kandy City Centre, now blocked the cool wind flow in Kandy and heated up the city.
I heard, a brand new Ice Cream Parlour to be opened in Kandy soon and I tried to contact them via facebook. They didn’t specify the opening date, but informed me about the location. Suddenly, i saw fb message that they are open last week. So, visited last Sunday Morning and the store was closed. I recontacted and get a confirmation.
Yesterday, I visited there after workout at Gym. City wasn’t so busy at late 7.30 PM. But the Esela Perahara had begun. Crowd attached to limited Perahara route.
The Location is, just near to Thilakawardhana and next to Hameeda Factory Outlet at D.S. Senanayake Veediya (Formally Trinco Street). Small but beautiful place. Around 20 people can be seated inside. Air Condition can not be appreciated and may just because of still new. Still no Debt or Credit Card payment facilities. They says, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm would be their opening hours. I spent my time from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm
I should make a proper visit again for my readers with good pictures and details later. To now, I am sharing few things to impress you. Shakes and Drinks ranges are LKR 100 to LKR 250 and Ice Cream Roll Products start from LKR 200 to LKR 350
Definitely, One Dish is enough for two people unless you are a big fan of Ice Cream. I tried, Mixed Wild Berries Ice Cream Rolls and Pictures attached. I don’t recommend that dish which was LKR 350. And there were many like fruit added flavours, Pani Kaju, Chocolates and more. I request them to arrange Deep Fried Ice Cream Ball in future. Anyway, They may not sure about continuing as an exclusive Ice Cream Parlour. So, I may say, that is more likely frozen food and beverages store.
Hope to see you again Frozen Smiles.
