A New App set to be launched in next month to manage travellers vaccination data, tests and certification over Covid-19 history. And this app would be the third travel pass along the passport and visas to reopen boarders.

Covid-19 impact just freeze the global travel and tourism industry for at least 14 months of period since the beginning of 2020 the pandemic year. And the Pandemic Year is no longer here and we have just started the vaccine year. Here is a very progressive news for everyone who love to hear as travellers, industry stakeholders as well as employees who loved travel. The IATA Travel pass App is being developed by International Air Travel Association (IATA) the global merchant organization and 290 airlines in their membership pool.

The app is proposed to be available free to use and it will make the World; free to travel.

IATA has explained to CNN about the four steps of work.

  • App will help passengers to understand the health requirements of destination and passengers will be able to compare with their own status.
  • App will allow to find globally accepted labs and testing centres which is convenient to the passengers.
  • Authorized Labs and Testing Centres will be able to share securely tests and vaccination certificates with passengers through the app.
  • And the Passengers can use the loaded data with IATA App through out their travel needs. It will help to contactless travel procedures, sharing Covid-19 testing or vaccination certificates with boarder controls as well as digital version of passengers travel documentations. UAE has started such a goal with emirates airline to contactless UAE travel policy.
