Russian President “Vladimir Putin” confirmed Tuesday (15/Feb/2022) that he had decided to withdraw some troops from the border with Ukraine and also he has noted that he is ready to re-enter security negotiations with the U.S. and NATO.
The partial withdrawal decision shows the first sign of de-escalation since Russia began its massive military mobilization near Ukraine at the end of 2021. but Putin also made clear the threat is not over.
Putin meets German Chancellor
Today, New German Chancellor Olaf Scholz met Putin and Putin talked while sitting next to the German Leader and noted that “of course” he does not want a war to break out in Europe, but that this is why it is so important that Russia’s security demands are accepted by the U.S. and NATO.
