The UN Security Council held an extraordinary meeting on Monday (21/Feb/2022) night in New York to evaluate the latest development from Ukraine. The key reason for that was Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that Russia would recognize the Two Breakaway Regions of Eastern Ukraine as Independent Republics.
Ukraine Tension now has entered the arena with its true face after Russian President Vladimir Putin officially recognized its intention to welcome Eastern Ukrainian regions as independent republics and also reports say Moscow would deploy “peacekeeping troops” to the two newly “independent” territories.

US Ambassador to United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield told an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council that the U.S. will unveil new sanctions against Russia on Tuesday(22/Feb/2022).
Yesterday, right after clearing the position of Moscow, President Joe Biden signed an executive order that prohibits new investment, trade and financing by U.S. persons to, from, or in the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic or the Luhansk People’s Republic regions of Ukraine.
That was the immediate response from the US against Putin’s view over so-called new republics. But, White House officials declined yesterday to specify what might be in the next round of sanctions coming on Tuesday(21) or beyond.
