No Russian airlines will be allowed to fly through EU or Canadian Air Space. In response to barbaric Russian invation in Ukraine, Canada and European Union closed air space to Russia.
The European Union closed their entire airspace to all Russian-owned, Russian-registered or Russian-controlled aircraft. Day by day, Russia is being isolated in the air transportation industry while multiple airlines are avoiding the Russian airspace on their routes.
The first hit was by the United Kingdom with the quick response from PM Boris Johnson to immediate sanctions on Russia. He didn’t wait till US sanctions directly to Russia, the UK announced these just 24 hours after the “Monday Late Night nation address” made by Russian Leader.
After European Union announced the decision to ban Russian airlines and aircraft from its airspace, other countries are taking steps to consider flight bans. Canada has already closed their airspace to Russian Airlines.
As I said earlier, the United Kingdom became the first country to ban Russian airlines from entering its airspace. Taking so strong steps, the UK Civil Aviation Authority also said that it had suspended Aeroflot’s foreign carrier permit. Even Russian private planes are also banned from flying in British airspace or landing at its airports.
Russian counterpart hit back to the UK by imposing the same sanctions on British Airways and British carriers.
World’s Largest Aircraft has been destroyed by Russia
Meanwhile, we had very bad news from Ukraine and it was shocked to Aviation enthusiasts. World’s Largest Aircraft Antonov An 225 Mriya was destroyed by the Russian Military while their attacks on Ukrainian Airports. This War was originally started by Russian President Vladimir Putin as he cannot tolerate the pride of Ukraine which was tightening hands with the West. So, he is purposely looking to destroy Ukraine and its pride with its current leadership. As much as President Zelensky, Mirya Aircraft was an enemy of Putin. He may never want to keep that aircraft as stolen posses.
However, the Russian President is now relabeled as a hated person among all aviation enthusiasts.
