UAE favours oil production to fulfil the energy demand in the USA after Biden’s Russian oil ban.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) favours an oil production increase and will be encouraging OPEC to consider higher output, the Emirati ambassador to Washington DC said today. (Wednesday, Mar 09/2022) This came after President Biden signed EOs to halt Russian Energy supplies to the US as a response to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
“We favour production increases and will be encouraging OPEC to consider higher production levels,” Ambassador Yousuf Al Otaiba said in a statement tweeted by the UAE Embassy in Washington.
According to a Reuters report, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also said on Wednesday that the UAE was giving support for increased oil production.
Most of the time, Saudi Arabia was the leading US ally in the middle east to save the US demands of energy crises. However, the UAE is playing a key role in geopolitics since recent history. UAE became the third Arab country, established full diplomatic relations with Israel in 2020 after Egypt the first one in 1979, Jordan the second in 1994.
UAE is praised as the first Arab country to introduce western social standards and they are acting as the ambassador of the Arab world to build a bridge between Arabs and the rest of the World. As their achievements with these fully open policies, Saudi Arabia seems to follow the same and it is a great contribution to the World.
