Top 10 box office movies in the history

What are the top 10 movies in history? What are the top 10 box office movies? What are the top 10 movies by their revenue? I have seen this kind of question when we handle our social media page for cinema reviews. So, I decided to write an article about “Top 10 box-office hits in the World”.

The cinema industry is still among the top industries in the world despite the technological revolution that happened during the last decade. Even though many industries are struggling due to tech innovations and high-tech replacements, the Cinema industry is still thriving with the support of the tech industry. At the moment of composing this article, I heard that there is an ongoing strike in Hollywood against AI involvement in movies and the cinema industry. But I do not believe that AI can replace key elements of movies and would affect professions that involve in the cinema industry. But, AI would affect some animation and non-realistic movies. But it is safe to say that it would be a low effect compared to other industries like banking or tech services.

Among these Top 10, three movies are directed by one single man. That’s James Cameron and he is one of the legendary men in the cinema industry that achieved back-to-back success.

Personally, I went to see Avatar – The Way of Water 2022 on the 3D big screen on the release date. After a couple of days, I had a talk with my friend called “Mohamed Mukzith” who lives in Dubai, UAE. So I encourage him to see the movie. Then I claimed that if “Cameron’s best one Titanic” screen again, it will become a box office hit again. Then my friend refused. He said it is a 25-year-old movie and the new generation doesn’t care about it. At the beginning of 2023, while still James Cameron’s Avatar – The Way of Water on the big screen and “Titanic” was released on the Big screen for the second time. Many critics gave it in a sarcastic way, “Cameron vs Cameron”. However, the project went really well. Titanic gave a good race to Avatar – The Way of Water. So, I took my time to troll my friend over this.

James Cameron has directed seven films that have grossed over 1 Billion US Dollars. And Cameron is the only director have directed two films that have grossed over 2 Billion US dollars.

James Cameron is popular for his storytelling, visual effects, and accuracy of the facts involved. And it is safe to say that “James Cameron” is the most successful cinema director on Planet Earth. And in my POV, he is the most legendary man to meet in person who still lives among us. And I wish to meet one day.

Thank you
