Best car for a young entrepreneur: Comprehensive guide to vehicle classes

What’s the best car for an entrepreneur or CEO? Selecting a car that fits your profile is crucial. A car that you carry is always seen as a status symbol in the business world. So I decided to do an article to explain vehicle classes for your understanding from an entrepreneur’s perspective. You may find plenty of other articles about cars and their classes out there on the internet. However, those articles are written from the perspective of car enthusiasts. In this article, I will list down all the classes of vehicles and the recommended classes for an entrepreneur.

Standard car classes

Standard car classes are the majority of cars that you see everyday use by the general public. Also, these car classes are often used for taxi services and domestic or industrial uses. Also, they have better fuel efficiency and a good cargo area.

Economy Class:

This class typically includes smaller and more affordable vehicles designed for everyday use. They are known for fuel efficiency and compact size.

Examples: Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Alto or Maruti

Compact Class:

Vehicles in this class are slightly larger than economy cars, offering more space and features. They strike a balance between affordability and functionality.

Examples: Suzuki Wagan R, Volkswagen Golf,

Midsize Class:

Midsize vehicles are known for their comfortable interiors and a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency. They are suitable for families and individuals looking for a bit more space.

Examples: Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Mercedez Benz A class

Electric/Hybrid Class:

With the growing emphasis on sustainability, electric and hybrid vehicles form a distinct class. They use alternative power sources, reducing their environmental impact. In this class, you would find mid-size cars such as the Toyota Prius and the Tesla or Mercedez Benz cars some belong to Premium car classes and even some supercars.

Examples: Tesla, Toyota Prius

Premium car classes

Premium cars are designed for business class needs and amenities and spacious interiors to accommodate the needs of business travellers. Even in this class, you would find two types of cars that fit everyone’s needs.

Executive Class:

This class includes premium or executive sedans that focus on luxury, advanced technology, and superior performance. They often feature high-quality materials and cutting-edge amenities.

Examples: Mercedez Benz E class

Luxury Class:

Luxury vehicles are the epitome of sophistication, offering the latest in technology, comfort, and performance. They cater to a discerning clientele who prioritize a premium driving experience.

Sport and Off-road classes

Sports cars and off-road cars are specially designed for people who love sports performance and outlook on their everyday driving experience. People love to go off-road and rough roads on purpose for leisure and often choose these cars for their two-in-one needs.

SUV/Crossover Class:

Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and crossovers come in various sizes, ranging from compact to full-size. They are designed for versatility, offering ample cargo space and the option for off-road capabilities.

Examples: Toyota Land Cruiser, Land rover’s Range Rover, Mecedeze Benz SUV

Sports Class:

Sports cars are characterized by their high-performance engines, agile handling, and sleek designs. They are designed for enthusiasts who prioritize driving dynamics and speed.

Examples: Ford Mustang, Porche, Ferrari

Convertibles feature retractable roofs, allowing drivers to enjoy an open-air driving experience. They can belong to various other classes, such as sports or luxury.

Example: Ferrari Portofino, Mercedez C class Cabriolet, Aston martin, Alfa Romeo

Body types

In addition to these classes, there are a few other ways of categorizing cars according to their body shape.

  • Sedan or Saloon
  • Station Wagan
  • Hatchback
  • Micro
  • Pickup
  • SUV

From those body types, Sedan or Saloon and the SUV are the best-looking vehicles for a businessman. Despite the brand, Station Wagons and Hatchback cars are not the ideal type if you need a prestige presentation. When we compare SUVs and Saloon cars, I highly recommend Saloons over SUVs as SUVs still look casual in the corporate world. However, in US corporate culture, still SUVs like Range Rovers are considered so popular business car. However, if you want you classic business world look, I highly recommend you to go to a Saloon car.

Best car classes for you

Your main vehicle should be selected from the following car classes that I explained earlier in this article. Every car brand mentions their following classes separately and the wording that they use might be slightly changed. And yet you can find these levels in general.

  • Executive Class Sedan
  • Luxury Class Sedan
  • SUV Sedan

These are the most recommended car classes for your main business vehicle. When you grow, you can buy some other fancy cars for different purposes such as sports vehicles or supercars. However, you need a main business car when you are involved in business trips and visits. People will argue that it doesn’t matter the car you drive when you are a big businessman. But, those virtual realities aren’t fit in actual world scenarios. Whether we like it or not, people judge by the cover. So, my website offers some good tips to maintain a good cover as well as your book.

Best Brands

Every car brand has executive and Luxury class models in their car production line. So, you can check your favourite car brand for their executive and luxury models. In addition to that, there are some dedicated luxury premium car brands owned by every popular car brand out there. So, if you want, you can go for that specific brand itself. I have listed down a few of those brands with their main brand. However, you need to check how spacious its exterior and interior are before making your bet. Premium cars often offer good space inside, and perfect interiors such as high-quality leather, wood and steel instead of cheap plastic or fabric interiors. Also, premium cars are often different from standard-class cars from the exterior. Chrome lines across the car are also a good sign of its class.

Your first business car

When you start your business and entrepreneurship journey, you should not go for a loan for a car or a house at once. You need to wait. It will be a long wait compared to your employed professional friends. You are on a journey to wealth building. You are going to buy your car, whenever you can buy two cars from the same one. Purchasing a first car for an entrepreneur is always late than his/her friends, family and colleagues. Here is why:

  1. The value of your car/Amount you are going to spend should be below your network
  2. You don’t need to buy a fresh brand new car from a factory
  3. You do not buy small/mini/compact/midsize/hatchback cars.
  4. You buy an Executive full-size saloon/sedan car that offers a luxury interior
  5. Your first executive sedan can be older than 5-10 years as long as it’s in good condition and its interior looks perfectly okay.
  6. You do not buy a business car to have the best fuel efficiency or lowest insurance premium or low maintenance cost. You can consider options when available, however, those things are not your main concern. If you have those concerns, you better wait until you don’t have those concerns.
  7. If you feel that you are not ready for your first car, you can always wait and hire a car or rent a car with the same above requirements.
  8. Last but not least, you can go for a loan even though you have the full amount to pay as long as your loan interest is insanely high. The reason is you can invest that money differently and arrange your car instalment payment from it.
