Movies for Growth Mindset

Why always obsessed with ‘Titanic 1997’?

In my opinion, “Titanic” is my all-time favourite movie that has ever been produced. When Avatar ii – way of Water came after 13 years of silence from award-winning cinematographer James Cameron in 2022, I argued that “Titanic” would still be a box office hit. My friend Muzkith, an Early Gen Z, counters that a movie produced for youth when my parents were young isn’t going to make anything significant if we try to screen it in theatres.

Surprisingly, both of us got a chance to test our theories in early 2023. Cameron vs Cameron made headlines that Titanic is hitting theatres racing brand new sensational sci-fi movie “Avatar ii -The Way of Water”. The result even surprised me. Titanic gave a groundbreaking race, hitting box office records again. So, my theory was confirmed that I never expected to be proven when I made it.

That is not the point here. I didn’t write today to tell you about that story. However, Titanic isn’t just another movie. It’s much more than a movie. It displays a romeo-juliet style everlasting love story. Also shows the life in 20th century. Look at the Seamanship of that Captain who went down with his ship. You can nicely observe the behaviours of human beings in a crisis.

This movie also breaks the idea of categorizing people depending on their status quo or wealth. It nicely shows that we can find any kind of person with any social status. It vividly paints the complexity and vastness of human society.

So, Titanic has become a high-quality masterpiece that serves as a documentary about humanity. Also, its intensified storyline gives a strong shock into your mind if you are a romantic and highly sensitive person. I don’t think that humanity has ever produced such a great film that can serve many ways and also influence human society that much.

That’s why some people had to die after spending millions of dollars to see the relic of the actual ship subjected to the movie. Beyond the movie, there are thousands of stories related to the actual ship as well.

Director, James Cameron had dove 33 times to see Titanic. You already know how dangerous to dive into this shipwreck even for a single time. So, imagine his obsession with this work and also his perfect craftmanship in cinematography well paid off.

So, James Cameron is a perfect example that we may spend our best possible effort on one thing that we are creating to achieve a lifelong greatness.
