Did You Know? 99% of Motivational Quotes and Speeches are Inspired by the Bible

As someone deeply passionate about motivation and positive thinking, I often explore numerous quotes and speeches from a variety of speakers. Interestingly, despite their diverse backgrounds, many of these speeches are either directly inspired by or align with Bible verses. This made me curious about why this happens, and I’m here to share some insights that will help you form your own opinion on the connection between motivational content and Biblical teachings.

Positive thinking and motivational energy are more Western-oriented ideas. Even though Christianity originated in the Middle East (Technically in Asia), it dominated Europe which is the continental west. Christianity is more likely based on happiness, joy and everlasting pleasure through the salvation of Jesus Christ. Not just the afterlife, but also the current life also described as enjoying the wonderful creation of God.

On the other hand, Eastern philosophy is based on death and destruction. It invites life to be minimalistic and remove natural behaviours be devoted to the goodness of god and reduce the enjoyment for a better life after death. So, whatever the opinion comes from East and Eastern attitudes philosophers still do not support the true energy of motivation and positive thinking.

Under that situation, let’s see a few reasons why the Bible and the Positive motivational quotes go side by side.

1) Christianity perfectly fixed with Western pagan culture that worshipped nature and expected a good life now. And God promises a better life even now to enjoy his creation on Earth. So, many people enjoyed power, wealth and prosperity in the Bible. So, the Bible is the best place to see how faithful people see success.

2) Even though the current personal views are not religious, Western speakers live in Christian cultural backgrounds that influence their attitudes. So, simply they unconsciously adopt the ideas without direct connection and yet bible-based concepts.

3) When Western culture sees life as a gift and every moment as a blessing, Eastern cultures do not recognise the value of the life of an individual merely. They have cast systems and hierarchies and not everyone is a child of God as in the West. So, there is not much left in the East to motivate every individual and pump positive thoughts that may be common for everyone. But the Bible and Christian philosophy count for everyone. (Even though some people in history acted differently, Christian philosophy counts everyone. )

4) It is easy to use bible based stories as it’s familiar with the vast majority and that’s also a reason to see 99% of quotes tally directly or indirectly. So, it’s very easy to quote or tell a story that the majority understand and it mixes with current beliefs to enhance the result

5) And lastly Bible influences across the globe. It might be the book of hope and blessings that helps our mindset to remain positive and self-motivated. Maybe it might be one of the widely referred books to keep mankind in a hope. So, most of the sources of our thinking patterns and opinions are based on that hope of salvation. In this point, I am trying to orchestrate the bible as a whole point of being motivated and hopeful as well as positive.
